White Oak Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Director of Surgical Operations for our Surgical Services Department who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

The Director of Surgical Operations oversees all aspects of the perioperative service line at White Oak Medical Center, including preoperative, intraoperative and post operative care, as well as oversight of the budget and capital expenditures. Qualified candidates will have significant experience leading perioperative services at a hospital or medical center with a strong record of measurable success. Adherence to the RISES values of Adventist HealthCare is required.

As a Director of Surgical Operations you will:
• Facilitate a work environment that meets individual and organizational needs.
•Provide guidance and direction that moves team towards common or shared goal with available resources that support organizational mission and goals. • Works with the team and supports related career goals.
• Develops and monitors cost controls to utilize time, material, and personnel resources in an effective and efficient manner.
• Monitors the quality of patient care delivery services to meet standards and accrediting criteria of JACHO, MD State standards and other applicable specialty standards.
• Evaluates staffing productivity and formulates plan to improve as needed. • Reports findings and plan to CNO.
• Utilizes all aspects of the performance management cycle to help staff best fulfill their job
•Demonstrates knowledge of performance improvement and coordinates the PI activities of the department.
• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients on their assigned unit/department.

Qualified candidates will possess:
• MD licensed RN with Bachelor Degree required
• Master's Degree preferred
• 5 years' experience in clinical nursing practice required
• 3 years supervisory/manager experience required
