MIL currently holds several multi-year contracts with NAWCAD in the areas of Cyber, C5ISR, and Information Technology systems.

Summary

The MIL Corporation is seeking a Project Management, Analyst performing the duties of a Data Scientist, Jr. in providing CLARE (Composite Learning Algorithm for Records Evaluation) support to The Reliability Control Board (RCB) Data Analytics Team at the NAVAL AIR SYSTEMS COMMAND (NAVAIR) located in Patuxent River, Maryland.

Key Duties
  • To analyze these maintenance records and provide an accurate output that engineers and logisticians can use for requisite analysis.
  • Collect and combine data from multiple sources
  • Uncover and explore anomalous data (including metadata)
  • Design and develop tools and techniques for analysis
  • Evaluate, document, and communicate research processes, analyses, and results to customers, peers, and leadership
  • Automate organizational work through scripts for data processing and analytics

Required Qualifications
  • Intermediate experience, at a minimum, using Microsoft Office products, specifically MS Excel.
  • Familiarity and preparation of MAF data for use in predictive and AI modeling
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience
  • A security + certification is required
  • Per federal guidelines, you may be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or willingness to obtain vaccination.

Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP)
  • Familiarity with Naval Aviation maintenance terminology or colloquialisms
  • Knowledge of rotorcraft components or systems

Education
A Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field desired, but not required.

Clearance
All applicants for this position must possess, at a minimum, a current Secret clearance; please note that the clearance process considers financial background aspects.
