Responsibilities: NCI: As a Mobile Support Technician I (Part Time), you will work with Technical SMEs to support, maintain and service up to 3,000 mobile users as part of our JSP Service Delivery Team. This role is focused on operating, managing and updating the WidePoint system and the supporting databases as used in the JSP. Additionally, this position will assist conducting training on WidePoint tools to disseminate knowledge across the Mobile Wireless JSP Team. HIGHLIGHTS OF RESPONSIBILITIESProvides support in the translation of business requirements into telecommunications requirements, designs and ordersProvides in-depth engineering analysis of telecommunications alternatives for our JSP customer in support of their strategic modernization effortsProvides interface support to telecommunications end users, telecommunications operations personnel, and telecommunications strategic program managementSupports telecommunications infrastructure using technology, and telecommunications engineering best practicesAssists in analyzing customer's voice, data and image requirements and develops cost effective solutionsAssists with Stock Inventory ManagementAssists with inventory reconciliationsAssists with moderately complex studies to determine networking capacities and reliability, and make recommendations to augment and/or enhance existing communications networksAssists in technical problem diagnoses and resolution support for all associated subsystems, including line monitoring, modem loop-back tests, Local-Area Network/Wide-Area Network (LAN/WAN) performance monitoring and terminal failure determinationProvides hardware and software installation and configuration supportPrepares work prints and schematics for the placement, implementation, rearrangement or removal of voice, data and video/audio cables and associated hardwareAssists in analyzing, selecting and designing circuit paths, transmission logic and hardware to connect localized networksAssists in evaluating projected network usage, signaling characteristics and proposed network mediaRecommends media that will ensure transport and receipt of voice, data and video/audio signaling Qualifications: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Active Secret security clearanceAssociates DegreeCurrent DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification: CCNA Security, CySA+, Security+ CE, etc4-9 years of experience PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:ITIL v3 Foundations AND HDI Desktop Support Technician or A+ related certifications relevant to service desk supportHands-on experience working with BMC Remedy ticket systemsPrior work experience in a fast-paced DoD environment PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This position requires the ability to perform the below essential functions:Sitting for long periodsStanding for long periodsAmbulate throughout an officeAmbulate between several buildingsStoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as requiredRepeatedly lift and carry weight up to 50 pounds About Empower AI: It is the policy of Empower AI to provide equal opportunity in recruiting, hiring, training, and promoting individuals in all job categories without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, gender, age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other protected class or category as may be defined by federal, state, or local laws or regulations.
