Our practice is focused on trials and appeals in federal and state courts across the United States and federal agencies. We are seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to conduct primary client matter responsibilities including document and binder preparation, maintaining client pleadings and correspondence files; travel arrangements and related preparation for travel; maintain busy attorney calendar, schedule appointments and client meetings; frequent client contact; attorney time entry, expense reimbursement, client billing; process incoming and outgoing mail.The candidate should be confident, professional, anticipate needs, take initiative, self-starter, creative, resourceful, work with minimum supervision, dependable, thrive under pressure and possess excellent skills. Must have some office experience (internships considered); legal secretarial or paralegal experience or certificate a plus. Requirements include an accurate minimum typing speed of 65 wpm, with proficiency in Microsoft Word. Customer service and communication skills with a positive attitude required. Excellent organization and time management skills necessary; ability to meet tight deadlines; detail-oriented; flexibility to handle a variety of tasks and shift priorities simultaneously; sound judgment and proactively troubleshoot to effectively solve problems within the scope of the position. Strong interpersonal skills; ability to effectively interact with all levels of staff and external contacts; ability to work as an effective team member.
