Company Description Quality Matters (QM) is an international organization that is recognized as a leader in quality assurance for online education. QM is a nonprofit organization comprised of a dedicated staff that works together virtually-from cities all over the United States-to support everyone's quality assurance goals.Responsibilities The Human Resources Coordinator provides administrative support to the Operations team under the guidance of the Manager of Administrative Services. The role will maximize operations efficiency over the long-term by creating and maintaining HR procedures and practices while overseeing a wide variety of HR responsibilities including employee onboarding, HRMS management, benefits coordination, and more.Essential Duties In fulfillment of the responsibilities, the HR Coordinator will:(1) Manage the research, implementation, and oversight of HRMS software:Maintain and update all employee recordsTrack and verify employee PTO balancesKeep relevant HR-related policies and documents current and publicly available to all staffLeverage the system to automate typical HR processes, such as onboarding, off-boarding, time off transactions, employee record updates, hiring, and other related tasksSchedule candidate interviews, in coordination with the recruiter, hiring manager, and other members of interview panelsManage Employee OnboardingObtain and verify new employee information and recordsStructure and maintain the organizational chartCoordinate and disseminate information related to benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life, and long-term disabilityBridge employee relations by responding to and escalating employee requests as appropriateAssist in the development and implementation of HR policies and practices that are fair and equitable(2) Manage internal and external relationships:Participate in meetings with Operations team and external HR consultantsAssist in developing and facilitating employee engagement activities and recognition programsCoordinate and cooperate with Quality Matters staff to ensure that QM's mission, programs, products, and services are consistently presented in a strong, positive image to relevant stakeholdersOther Duties as AssignedRequired Qualifications Self-starter, capable of being productive in a fast-moving virtual office environment with the following qualifications and desired skills:Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, psychology, or a related fieldMinimum of two years of experience with implementation of HR Management Software / HRISCommitment to confidentiality requiredExtremely detail-orientedGeneral knowledge of employment laws and practices or willingness to obtain this knowledge and stay currentAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-moving, virtual work environmentStrong organizational skills and time management skills, including the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines consistentlyMust have access to reliable, high-speed internetPreferred Qualifications One or more years iSolved HR Management Software experiencePrevious experience in a non-profit settingOne or more years of virtual work experienceTechnology Proficiencies Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office SuiteVideo conferencing software, ZoomGoogle applicationsCloud file-sharing or collaborative softwareDatabase management, Human Resources Management System (HRMS)Customer Relationship Management (CRM) softwareWork Environment and Physical Demands This job operates in a telecommuting and/or home office environment. The work in this role is conducted primarily through the use of computers or computer-based and internet technology as well as other office productivity machinery such as a computer printer. As such, the job is largely sedentary and requires continual and sustained operation of a computer. The person in this position frequently communicates with peers, colleagues and staff in both synchronous and asynchronous modalities. Must be able to exchange accurate information. This role requires occasional travel to conferences and meetings. Regardless of physical location, all QM employees are required to be available to attend the synchronous core schedule of Monday through Friday, 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, EST and participate in weekly staff meetings. (Exceptions on a per case basis)Additional Information QM operates a virtual office, and this will be a remote, home-based position. Applicants must reside in one of the following states to be considered for this position: CT, FL, IL, IN, KY, MD, MI, MO, NM, NV, OH, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, or WA. You should also have access to reliable high-speed internet.The salary range for this position is $44,158.00 - $55,198.00. This full-time, telecommuting position is At-Will, with a salary based off of a 40-hour work week, minimum, paid in biweekly increments.
