Overview: Seeking a current and proficient Navy Aegis Computer Network Technician (ACNT) to train fleet sailors at Aegis Training and Readiness Center - Dahlgren VA. Responsibilities: Essential Functions/Job Duties:Develops, organizes, and conducts class room training and labs for Fleet ACNT's on Baseline 7 or 9 Aegis supporting maintenance and operation of Aegis computer network. Develops, tests, maintains, and delivers training programs and related materials in support of CSCS training objectives. Teaches approved course content and objectives. Conducts training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities. Maintains records of training activities, participant progress, and program effectiveness. Supports updates of course curriculum on a regular basis to ensure timeliness and relevance. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned. Participates in special projects as required.Typical Working Conditions: Office and classroom environment Qualifications: Skills/Qualifications:NEC 1386/V69A (ACNT BL 9) NEC 1325/V39A (CEC AN/USG-2 CETPS Technician).Work Schedule: STD/40 Travel up to 15%Minimum Education Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work/military experience. US Citizenship is required Security Clearance: Candidates must have an active clearance OR the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance, and will be subject to a US security background investigation (ie favorable background investigation / credit score). Additional eligibility requirements for access to various levels of classified information may also be required. An active security clearance is highly desirable.
