Group W is hiring!Position: Human Resources ManagerLocation: Dumfries, VAOverview: Seeking a dynamic and caring, yet firm Human Resources professional who will report to the Director of Human Resources and serve as an advisor to Management and employee-owners on all aspects of Human Resources including benefits, talent management, strategies, and compliance. The HR Manager should have the ability and agility to balance the needs of 115+ employee-owners with corporate limitations. This HR Manager will need to understand and embrace Group W's unique culture characterized by an egalitarian mindset, a quest for exceptional performance, a distaste for bureaucracy, and disdain for stupidity. Group W strives for world-class infrastructure support and is a growing, profitable, high-retention, successful and high performing national security corporation.Requirements: Bachelor's / four-year degree in Human Resources or related field, or 10+ years' experience in lieu of a degree6+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, with knowledge of HR compliance in government/defense contractingStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteNote: "Group W maintains a COVID-19 Vaccination Policy as a term and condition of employment. Under the Policy, all employees must prove that they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before their first day of work with the Company unless a medical or religious exemption is approved."Preferred: Knowledge of fundamental HR principles, procedures, and practices including wage and salary administration, benefits program implementation and administration, performance management, employee relations, training and development, and regulatory complianceEffective and persuasive communication skills, both verbal and written, including presentations; ability to speak confidently and effectively; proven professional writing abilityAbility to operate effectively in a dynamic environment, deal with ambiguity, and prioritize and execute multiple ongoing tasksAbility to work across all levels of the organizationAbility to synthesize and analyze data and informationAn innovative and strategic mindset open to new ideasStrong problem-solving and decision-making abilityAbility to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality and discretionExperience with supporting geographically distant employees and SOFA compliancePrior HR experience within a small business or government contracting cultureCommitment to preserving Group W's unique, treasured culture amid the dynamics of managing, and potentially scaling growthResponsibilities:Serve as a strategic business partner to managers and employee-owners on human resources issues and policies including benefits, compensation, employee development, performance management, employee relations and other HR-related functionsConsult with leadership, program managers, and employee-owners in the strategic planning process and development of HR strategies that support business needsAssist with training on employee life-cycle processes, key HR policies, regulatory compliance, and performance managementProvide guidance on employment law, OFCCP requirements, reporting, compensation, and other locally and federally mandated requirementsProvide mentoring, coaching, team building support and conflict resolution support when appropriate/requiredAssist with planning, developing, communicating, and implementing Human Resource strategies and initiativesWork collaboratively on a committee to plan corporate events Partner with the Employee Benefits Analysis Committee to ensure that Group W remains a top 1% benefits employerConsistently model, educate and promote Group W culture, traits, and valuesMaintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, establishing networks, and participating in professional groupsPerform other duties as assignedAbout Group W: "Great vision without great people is irrelevant."
