The contractor shall:1. Follow established procedures and protocols; utilize aseptic technique to perform experiments.2. Perform primary cell culture techniques and immunohistochemistry.3. Troubleshoot issues with technical procedures; utilize trial and error methods customize protocols to the biological systems utilized in the laboratory.4. Perform routine experiments and tests; follow established procedures and protocols.5. Perform experiments on samples according to protocols.6. Perform fundamental procedures required for research projects.7. Perform routine experiments and tests, including tissue culture, cell separation, protein, and quantitative and qualitative analysis.8. Perform a variety of laboratory techniques and procedures.9. Plan and execute experiments for in vitro and in vivo studies, including cell culture, Western blotting, and immunofluorescence/immunohistochemistry.10. Perform routine analysis and tests on specimens in the laboratory.11. Work with staff on the maintenance of laboratory cell lines.12. Work with staff on processing specimens for embedding according to protocols.13. Prepare materials and equipment for experiments.14. Maintain stocked supplies and records of working reagents, including fixatives, buffers, solvents, and staining.15. Process and organize multiple samples simultaneously.16. Work with a variety of routine and specialized laboratory instruments and equipment in the laboratory.17. Ensure that all specimens and equipment necessary for experiments are available and in good order.18. Prepare specimens and equipment for use in the laboratory.19. Perform processing, description, and analysis of specimens.20. Store new samples, update database, retrieve samples with proper authorization.21. Perform quality control procedures necessary to ensure the accuracy of each test system, sample processing, storage, and inventory of samples.22. Convey and discuss research results with team lab members.23. Update and maintain written laboratory record of the work.24. Collect and enter research data into laboratory notebooks and databases.25. Assemble, manipulate, and format test results.26. Maintain and update laboratory notebooks and databases; and enter experimental data into spreadsheet and conduct statistical analysis.27. Collect data and prepare for analysis and interpretation.28. Work with staff on the maintenance of laboratory logs and databases.29. Analyze, summarize, and interpret data obtained from research studies; evaluate for completeness and validity.30. Draw conclusions about the results as related to the ability of the experiments to answer the questions posed.31. Interpret results of initial analysis to reveal conclusions and shortcomings.32. Ensure that supplies and consumables are ready and on hand as necessary for maximum efficiency in the laboratory.33. Work with staff to cover glassware washing, media preparation, and autoclaving.34. Clean glassware and microscopic slides.35. Clean and sterilize laboratory equipment such as glasses, metal instruments, sinks, tables, and test panels.36. Ensure that adequate clean inventory is available for immediate usage.37. Monitor and inventory routine laboratory supplies; ensure that supplies are stocked and organized.38. Monitor inventory levels and proper storage of materials and supplies in accordance with established policies and procedures.39. Inventory laboratory supplies and equipment, make recommendations and prepare purchase requests.40. Work with staff to maintain stocked supplies and records of working reagents, including fixatives, buffers, solvents, and staining.41. Ensure that reagents are made correctly and that expired reagents or defective products are replaced to ensure validity of results.42. Assist in troubleshooting and calibrating various laboratory equipment and instruments.43. Prepare reports and summaries based on results and findings.44. Prepare reports and summaries; prepare data for presentation at laboratory meetings.45. Record details of experimental procedures, results, and protocols.46. Present results and conclusions in written, tabular, and graphic form.47. Prepare accumulated data and conclusions for publication in professional journals.48. Collect, analyze, and interpret data; prepare summaries and reports based on results and findings.49. Provide technical help and expertise to lab members.**REQUIREMENTS** . The contractor must have:1. A Bachelor's Degree in Biology or relevant field2. Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)3. Experienced with maintaining Stock Solutions4.
