Test Engineer 3
Responsibilities: This opening is for a recently awarded program that delivers a wide set of capabilities across the enterprise to include data management, data delivery, high ingest rate cloud architectures, and analytic platforms. The NiagaraFiles project is currently seeking a Test Engineer to support the customer's version of the NiFi application performing testing activities. Apache NiFi is a Java based open source visual dataflow application and used as a basis for the IC version our developers maintain called NiagaraFiles. The development team creates and maintains specialized data processors and controller services used to process, transform, route mission data from ingestion to delivery to end repository. Testing activities consist of both manual and automated testing of the functionality of the NiFi components, called Processors and controller services. Each processor is it's own application that performs a specific function, like converting data from one format to a specific customer mission format. The test team member will perform hands on testing to these components, as well as work with the systems engineering and development teams to implement test automation. Qualifications: Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Math, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Engineering Management or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional TE experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.Eight (8) years of experience as a TE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is requiredAbility to provide overall leadership of the T task and serve as primary liaison to the government for supporting contract coordination and task executionAbility to communicate issues and solutions to the broader government and contract management structure as requested by LeadershipAbility to manages T resources and tasks; ensure quality assurance of test processes and productsAbility to drive innovation and responsiveness to program changes and evolving T status to help manage program risk: develop alternative courses of action, work-arounds, and fall-back positions with a recommended course of action for each risk, and monitor and re-evaluate risks at appropriate milestonesActive TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is requiredPreferred QualificationsExperience in test engineering or integration of modern hardware/software systemsExperience in the development and implementation of test strategies, plans, traceability matrices, procedures, and reportsExperience in writing test cases and writing discrepancy reportsNiFiDataflowMission data formatsLinux command line and writing test scriptsAutomationApplicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
