Responsibilities: As a Software Developer, you will support the software development and engineering activities to support NASA Near Space Network (NSN) NexTEra development. NexTEra is the Virtual Network Manager that is being implemented as the interface for the missions. NexTEra will provide cloud based services for scheduling as well as network monitoring and control capabilities for the NSN architecture. Must be a US Citizen and hold an active/current DoD Public Trust with the ablity to obtain Secret clearanceThis is a remote/telework opportunity. In this role, you will be responsible for the following:Supporting all I activities required to support NexTEra Test V team in developing technical documentation including integration plans and procedures, test plans and procedures, and test reports.Supporting the development, coordination, and presentation of Key Decision Point (KDP) Presentations (eg, System Design Review (SDR), System Integration Review (SIR), System Acceptance Review (SAR), Operational Readiness Review (ORR), etc.). These reviews are presented to upper-level NASA and Peraton management. Qualifications: BS 5-7 Years, MS 3-5, PhD 0-2Must be a US Citizen and hold an active/current DoD Public Trust, with ability to obtain Secret clearance 5+ years of related technical experience5+ years of experience supporting system integration and test activities including requirements analysis, requirements management, test planning, and test procedure development. 5+ years of experience supporting the design, development, integration, and test of ground communication systems and subsystems. Prior NASA experience or other federal government agency projects5+ years of experience with developing Key Decision Point (KDP) presentations (eg, System Requirements Review) and presenting them to the customer.You have at least two (2) years of experience with 1 of the 3 major cloud service providers (Amazon, Microsoft, or Google).Experience using tools like Jira.DESIRED EXPERIENCE:Strong written and oral communications to present material to team and customer.Experience with optical communications systems and subsystems.
