Position Description: The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Pacific (SSC PAC) Security Systems Branch, Code 4118 performs the procurement, installation, integration, testing and life cycle sustainment of Naval Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) Electronic Surveillance Systems (ESS) at shore installations throughout the world. Systems/equipment and services are defined as equipment and/or systems that facilitate the detection, delay, deterrence, assessment, and response to terrorist events. Sustainment services include preventive and corrective maintenance, interoperability, maintenance planning, supply/logistics support, testing and evaluation, reliability and maintainability, and configuration management. In support of the program's mission, Serco is looking for a Field Service Engineer (FSE). This position is 75% travel, but does not require you to live onsite any of the work locations. A valid US Passport is required.In this role, you will: Install, troubleshoot, and maintain various mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment, products and systems including but not limited to Physical Security/Access Control, Intrusion Detection, Vehicle Gates and Barriers, Turnstiles, Giant Voice (MASS Notification), CCTV Surveillance and Recording systems as controlled by Emergency Operations Centers, Regional and Local Dispatch Centers, and Navy Munitions CommandsIdentify faults, analyze mechanical and electrical failures, fault isolate network issues and order and replace defective parts and modules as requiredRecommend equipment product or services best suited to fit the customers' needs Relies on experience and judgement, takes direction from and assists other Team Members and Technical Project Leadership, and exhibits a wide degree of creativity and latitude to plan and accomplish assigned tasks.Communicates effectively with Customers, other Serco Team Members, and Sub Contractors to offer solutionsCreates and composes detailed work logs and performs daily trip reports of equipment and system statuses Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will have: Requires a bachelor's degree and 4 years' experience OR a HS Diploma with 6 years' experience in the related field. An active DoD Secret level clearance. This position requires the ability to access confidential/classified areas. Hold a valid US passport Qualified candidate will have an excellent mechanical aptitude, be experienced with performing functional and operational testing, performing general maintenance and have the ability to troubleshoot Access Control systems, CCTV systems and learn operation and function of various Gates and Barriers at US military installations or similar vehicle gates and barriers at other secure facilities.Preferred experience in one or more of the following manufacturers equipment:Access Control Systems: Lenel, DMP, Brivo, Access IT, HIDCCTV: Axis, Milestone, Bosch, Pelco, True-Vision/Interlogix, ExacqVision, IllustraGATES: Delta Scientific, Nasatka Security, RSSI, Chamberlain, Viking, Door-King, Hy-Security Company Overview: Serco Inc.
