For over 120 years, we have used our experience and global reach to ensure that travelers are feeling good on the move by bringing a unique mix of local, regional, national and international food and beverage amenities to travel venues around the world.About The Role:The purpose of the Director Corporate Communications is to create and implement marketing communications, internal communications, and public relations campaigns in support of company goals. This position will develop communications plans, press strategies and materials to secure impactful coverage in trade and business media outlets and generate positive visibility to position the company as the leader in food and beverage.Essential Functions:Leads Public Relations initiatives in support of programs and events, in coordination with marketing, executive leadership, restaurant development, business development, operations, IT, and culinary.Proactively identifies and pitches story ideas to secure media mentions, interviews, speaking engagements, podcast appearances, and more to align with the company's goals. Prepares and advises internal spokespeople for speaking engagements to drive executive visibility and thought leadership. Leads and secures industry awards nominations. Manages coordination with advertising agency, overseeing any necessary ad placement and preparation, including photo shoots, storyboarding, and talent arrangements, in coordination with the agency.Oversees press and special events for grand openings, new product launches, industry appearances, etc. Develops and maintains corporate content including, but not limited to, website, social media, and corporate presentations. Stays informed on industry news and flag issues and trends for senior leaders in a timely manner. Coordinates with company leadership and HR to execute various internal communications initiatives.Reporting relationship and other important informationThe Director Corporate Communications position as described falls under the Fair Labor Standards act as an Exempt position.The position is required to travel occasionally and irregularly as necessary - potentially up to 40% of the time.Knowledge, Skills, and Experience: Requires the education, training, skills and experience typically gained through a Bachelor's Degree in communications, public relations, marketing communications, or related field and 5-7 years of related experience in marketing communications and public relations Requires demonstrated excellent writing and proofreading skillsRequires strong technical oral, written, interpersonal communication, and organizational skillsRequires experience interacting with executive levelsRequires knowledge of social media platforms/programs, strong PowerPoint (or similar presentation software), Microsoft Word and Excel skills Graphics experience preferredFamiliarity with email marketing tools preferredFamiliarity with Cision preferredHMSHost is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate in employment on the basis of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy and gender identity), national origin, political affiliation, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, genetic information, age, membership in an employee organization, retaliation, parental status, military service, or other non-merit factors.
