The Optimization team is tasked with closing the performance gap, coupling data and analytics capabilities with unmatched political experience to help provide powerful insights to our internal teams as well as our clients. Optimization is a high-visibility team that has direct lines of communication into the company's Chief Marketing Officer and Executive team. The team is integral to Targeted Victory's innovative efforts to professionalize and optimize performance marketing within the political space for its growing client base of right-leaning candidates, committees, organizations, and causes. Candidates with finance or quantitative backgrounds and an interest in political fundraising and modeling will thrive in this role and are encouraged to apply. Prior computer science and/or business analytics coursework or experience is a plus. This role is based in Arlington, VA and will report to the Managing Director of Analytics within Targeted Victory's Optimization team. Key Responsibilities:Build and manage proprietary modeling tools used to evaluate and track fundraising plans and performanceCollaborate with the company's FP&A, Operations, and Client Strategy teams on the company's annual budgeting process, ensuring that fundraising plans are completed in a standardized and timely fashionEnsure the accuracy of fundraising plan details in the company's CRM toolBecome proficient in Targeted Victory's data systems and workflowsThink outside the box and experiment with new approaches to political and fundraising dataWork with other Optimization team members to think critically and problem solve on ad hoc projectsPosition Requirements:Bachelor's degree in or a minimum of 4 years of prior experience in finance, accounting, or economicsExpert in Microsoft Excel with BI tool experience with business intelligence tools (Tableau, etc.)Keen attention to detail and excellent organizational skillsSelf-starter with a high level of motivation and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environmentExhibits professionalism, particularly in executive and external communications
