Ready to learn as much as you can We'll give you numerous opportunities of formal & informal training sessions to keep your tech smarts sharp.You are:The Deployment Engineer is a member of the Site Survey workstream, responsible for the intake, scheduling, coordination, and execution of all site surveys. .The work:As a member of the site deployment team, the Deployment Engineer is responsible for the design and execution of all customer site installations following the findings from the site survey. They will work with stakeholders to design the network infrastructure, taking pre existing systems into consideration, generate bill of materials BOM , coordinate equipment ordering and execute local installation and configuration.You have:2 years of experience in service operationsExperience with PowerShell, SQL, and Python scriptingExperience using common diagnostic tools like Netmon, WinDBG and WiresharkAbility to travel up to 75%, and must be able to be in the Washington DC office the other 25% of the time for meetings, etc.An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.Nice to have:Able to communicate effectively through written and oral EnglishAble to interact with external customers and partners on behalf of MicrosoftAbility to perform work under continuous deadline pressureAbility to execute work with precision in time sensitive outage scenariosEffectively communicate status changes to impactDemonstrated experience diagnosing debugging faults in complex services or distributed systemsAble to diagnose and mitigate faultsAble to identify and drive recovery levers with feature teams
