Come join us as a Director of Field Development for New York State with a concentrated focus on the Metro New York market. The Director of Field Development will be responsible for driving the growth and development of New York State fundraising initiatives to further the mission of Autism Speaks. Primary responsibilities will include managing the Annual New York Golf Classic and cultivating and managing corporate and foundation relationships in the state. The primary focus is driving revenue, as well as some local program delivery - all with a keen eye on volunteer recruitment and management. Candidate will be remote and should reside in the Metro New York area (NYC, Long Island or Westchester).PURPOSE: Raise funds for Autism Speaks by recruiting and managing volunteers, raising awareness and implementing fundraising and mission-related events to achieve revenue goals.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Achieve the revenue goals for assigned fundraising events in the Area.Execute events in partnership with volunteer leadership, specifically managing committee recruitment and retention.Achieve the assigned fundraising goals by implementing the strategies identified in the business plan, including sponsorship, corporate, team recruitment and retention and mission integration.Support the local implementation of global campaigns of Autism Speaks, sometimes in collaboration with the area's Outreach Director.Manage the day-to-day operations of assigned Area events, including event logistics, data entry, acknowledgements and materials management.Manage and provide administrative support to volunteer committees.Make presentations to businesses, organizations and community groups to secure sponsorship, recruit teams and committee volunteers and manage accounts on a year-round basis.Integrate digital marketing initiatives, such as email campaigns, fundraising websites, social media as well as other forms of digital outreach.(The responsibilities listed above are representative and not all inclusive. As outlined in your performance goal setting forms, you will be responsible for achieving the goals provided by and agreed upon with your manager.)POSITION REQUIREMENTS:Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experienceExperience: 7+ years demonstrated leadership with recruitment and management of volunteers (leadership volunteer recruitment experience and peer-to-peer fundraising preferred), relationship building, networking, budget management, and volunteer mobilization.
