SCI, the nation's leading real estate executive search firm, is seeking a Senior Analyst/Associate Director for a diversified real estate investment management and development firm specializing in opportunistic and value-added residential and mixed-use projects in select markets.This professional will support the company's partners by creating and analyzing detailed financial models for development deals in the Washington DC Metro and Mid-Atlantic regions. Investment focus includes: value-add multifamily, large-scale mixed-use urban infill developments, and opportunistic adaptive re-use investments. Performing market, economic, and demographic research to evaluate opportunities for new potential investments.Creates financial feasibility pro-forma(s) for new developmentsDevelop detailed financial models and feasibility analysis forecasting ROI through waterfall distributions.Leading the underwriting process with detailed assumptions.Structuring investment underwriting so that it addresses the critical issues of each dealAssisting with managing existing partner relationships, communication, and reportingForming new relationships to develop new investment opportunities. Evaluating, monitoring, and reporting on existing investment strategies and performanceResponsible for written and oral presentations of proposed transactions to JV partners and outside institutions.Key RequirementsAn undergraduate degree with a major in business administration, finance, accounting, construction management, or real estate; MBA or similar graduate experience is preferred.Able to direct and perform both physical and fiscal analysis of the properties.Capable of interacting with sophisticated investorsStrong understanding of Microsoft excel a must; Argus is a plusUnderstanding of investor operating agreements, debt structures and equity investment structures a definite plus
