You will be surrounded by peers who inspire you, drive you, support you, and make you laugh out loud, in an environment that fosters individuality, respect, and personal ambition.We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our Employee and Executive Communications team as an Employee and Executive Communications Manager to support activities for the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and global communications programming that advances business priorities.As Communications Manager, you will serve as an individual contributor and work with our business leaders to develop and execute employee, executive and program communications and integrate messages with external communications activities. Preferred candidates will have worked within the enterprise technology industry and have experience with leading comprehensive communications campaigns.This role will serve as a trusted business partner and requires a flexible, innovative team player with solid communications experience, strong writing and project management skills, a proactive attitude, a keen attention to detail, a passion for learning, and the ability to quickly establish rapport and trust with business leaders and program teams. The role requires strong multi-tasking and organizational skills and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders.This role will also partner with the Director of Employee and Executive Communications to support internal communications across functions, and have an opportunity to work on projects across the expanded Marketing Communications and Engagement team, which includes external communication, content marketing, customer engagement, and analyst relations.Key ResponsibilitiesInterpret business priorities into integrated communication plans for global audiences, creating a distinct leadership voice for the CIOProactively identify and develop messages and content, working closely with C-suite executives, senior stakeholders and subject matter experts, to promote and amplify initiatives that inform, educate and inspire target audiencesLead Customer Zero programming to showcase how BMC uses their own products and services to accelerate internal and external transformationCreate engaging content in various mediums and manage delivery via our digital workplace platform and messaging tools to ensure communications are targeted for audiencesEnsure content is topical, relevant and drives messaging for business prioritiesDraft messages, talking points or scripts for senior executives' internal and external speaking engagementsAdvise senior executives and program teams on effective communications techniquesDevelop and maintain program communications calendars that align with business needsEnsure communications messages are consistent internally and externallyPartner with the media relations team to develop compelling talking points for external activities, media engagements and publicationsStoryboard and translate ideas to the creative team of producers and designers to create captivating digital content including videos, infographics and imageryBe a continual learner of new marketing trends, innovative channels and best practicesHave an innovation mindset to continuously bring new ways of communicatingEnsure that all BMC marketing and branding guidelines and procedures are followedRequirementsBachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related fieldMinimum of 5 years' related marketing or communications experienceProfessional SkillsWell-rounded corporate communications experience across a variety of functions, preferably supporting technology, product or other customer-facing organizationsExperience in delivering integrated communications programming to address company reputation, corporate initiatives and executive voicesExceptional written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with executive presenceClear articulation of the business goal behind content creationExpertise in program management to ensure that plans are socialized, adhered to, and measured againstExcellent teamwork skills, as this is a highly collaborative positionProven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environmentHigh level of ownership and committed to achieving measurable resultsExperience with web content management systems and web publishingSolid presentation and storytelling skillsProficient with Microsoft Office suiteIt is the policy of BMC Software to afford equal opportunity for employment to all individuals regardless of race, color, age, national origin, physical or mental disability, history of disability, ancestry, citizenship status, political affiliation, religion, gender, transgender, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, status as a parent, sexual orientation, veteran status, genetic information or other factors prohibited by law, and to prohibit harassment or retaliation based on any of these factors.If you need a reasonable accommodation for any part of the application and hiring process, visit the accommodation request page.
