We believe in promoting plastics manufacturing as a viable career option.PLASTICS Events Marketing is an ambitious team responsible for the strategic development and implementation of multichannel marketing campaigns in support of approximately 10-15 topical in-person and virtual meetings, conferences and events, including the association's signature global triennial B2B trade show - NPE: The Plastics Show. This position will develop and implement strategies and tactics to position the full portfolio of events as the premier platforms in the plastics industry for education, networking, and innovation, ensuring continued growth in attendance, exhibitors, and sponsorship sales. RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for the management and execution of integrated marketing campaigns for the organization's event portfolio and global trade show. Manages all phases of promotional tactics including messaging, concepts, design, production, and distribution leveraging all appropriate traditional and innovative marketing channels: email and email automation, web, print collateral, organic and paid social media, digital and print advertising, digital media (eg, SEO, SEM, display and native, retargeting, geotargeting, geofencing), and event mobile applications.Collaborates with approximately 50 external publications and associations via in-kind trades, institutional newsletters, and event calendars.This position will work cross-functionally to promote our conferences, meetings and NPE; The Plastics Show by developing long- and short-form content, press releases, bylines, advertorials, cross promotions and facilitating interviews with stakeholders and industry influencers and thought leaders.Leads the trade show's sales & marketing committee, collaborating with the trade show team, head of product marketing & events, committee chair and vice chair, to develop work plans that will allow the committee to accomplish committee responsibilities effectively and efficiently for each trade show cycle.Build buyer personas and work closely with product team and agency/vendor to build value-driven messaging to support marketing campaigns and website content.Implement a strategy that supports account-based marketing, including ways to target and personalize engagement based on behavior and attendee and exhibitor profiles.Collaborates with full trade show team in developing a comprehensive program designed to support exhibitors in promoting their participation at the event.Manage individual conference web sites as well as the year-round site for NPE: The Plastics Show, ensuring accurate and timely content is in place pre- and post- show and during the event.Manage and maintain vendor/agency relationships and media partnerships, as appropriate to responsibilities.Create and manage performance and cost-optimized multi-channel campaigns for maximum engagement and conversion impact.Responsible for leveraging PLASTICS database to create targeted campagns for each event product, managing outbound distribution, and analyzing performance to identify engagement behavior and patterns.Develops and supports audience segmentation strategies to utilize prospect lists and third-party lists effectively; research new markets and develop promotional tactics to target new audiences with appropriate messaging.Collaborates with in-house creative/graphic design team member to manage designed assets in support of all events products.Develop appropriate KPIs and establish regular cadence or analysis and reporting for marketing campaigns.Develop, monitor and manage the marketing budget for all events.Direct and manage the activities and responsibilities of the Manager of Events Marketing - responsible for the marketing of non-trade show event properties.Interface with, and manage, the conference and trade show marketing teams interests to, other internal PLASTICS groups and functions.QUALIFICATIONSA minimum of 7 years' experience in marketing B2B trade shows, conferences and other event formats - both live and virtual.Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.Well-rounded marketing professional with knowledge and experience in email marketing and automation, web, digital media and other traditional and non-traditional marketing tactics.Experience in both dedicated events business and deploying the event medium to contribute to broader organizational objectives, especially in an association or community development context a plus.Experience managing a diverse portfolio of events and events formats, including trade shows, conferences, webinars in live, virtual and hybrid formats.Experience launching new event products and formats.Experience working for an association and/or marketing/PR agency a plus.Experience creating, managing and leveraging strategic third-party relationships.Excellent oral and written communication skills and proofreading ability.Experience with email and email marketing automation platforms such as HubSpot and MailChimp, as well as event management platforms like Cvent and Bizzabo.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite is required.Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision and manage shifting priorities, handling multiple assignments simultaneously;
