Job SummaryThe Patient Service Technician is responsible for delivering home medical equipment and supplies to patients in a timely and professional manner, and teaching patient how to use and maintain their equipment.Delivering to Residential homes (80%) and Hospice (20%) and specific territory Fredericksburg to Washington DC Job ResponsibilitiesResponsible for checking delivery ticket prior to leaving the warehouse to assure that equipment is clean, in proper working order and quantities are correct, delivery instructions are correct, and required paperwork is taken to the patient Delivers/Picks up supplies and equipment in a courteous, accurate and timely manner, meeting the timely delivery goal for essential agreement. Trains and educates patients and caregivers on use of equipment and answers any inquiries they may have about in a caring manner Informs new patients about their rights and responsibilities, financial responsibilities, who to contact with questions and how to contact the billing department. Responsible to inform patients about patient satisfaction surveys. Responsible to collect co-pays if stated. Responsible for obtaining signatures and of patient or caregiver for each piece of appropriate paperwork including but not limited to the delivery ticket, assignment of benefits, care plan, and waiver of liability. Documents date and time of delivery-on-delivery ticket and also lists any problems or changes to the order and updates driving directions if necessary Responsible for returning paperwork, prescriptions, money and all other important documents to appropriate area in a timely manner. Responsible for troubleshooting and servicing all equipment and making decisions on switch-outs. Notifies Warehouse Manager or designee immediately if delivery cannot be completed. Responsible for maintaining all phone and GPS units; including always having it on, keeping battery charged, answering alerts, etc. Responsible for filling out weekly maintenance reports in a timely and accurate manner and performing routine inspections. Responsible for checking fluid levels as well as tire wear and detailing problems on weekly maintenance reports. Responsible for maintaining company vehicle inside and out. Responsible for keeping gas in the truck and properly using gas card at filling station and maintaining assigned gas card. Responsible for reporting anybody damage that occurs during daily use. Qualifications: Clean Driving Record Required Able to lift up to 50 pounds High School Diploma or Equivalent Entry level sales, customer service background essential Military, delivery driver with sales component or health care technician experience would be considered related experience 1-2 years of Home Medical Equipment delivery experience preferred but not requiredAbout The CompanyOur client is a full-service home medical equipment company in the United States - offering a full-scope of Home Medical Equipment and respiratory care products and services that aim to keep patients comfortable and thriving in their own homes
