The company also excels in many other types of reinforced plastics including interior sandwich panels for creating structures such as aircraft galleys and bulkheads, honeycomb core and related products.Position Summary: Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery and equipment both mechanical and electrical in nature. Provides preventative maintenance to equipment/machinery which involves inspection and lubrication of all existing equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Understanding and Ownership of Maintenance Systems:Performs Preventive Maintenance (PM's).Understanding and support of the Work Order system. Defect Identification: Identification of minor and major defects.Input of defects into WO system. Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul:Ability to make mechanical adjustments and repairs; troubleshoot production machines; retrofit machines as needed; disable defective machines to install or repair parts; cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears.Ability to make basic electrical repairs such as replacing a motor or sensor; installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.Able to plan and perform major equipment overhauls.Troubleshoots equipment breakdowns.Able to diagnose equipment failures.Able to determine the root cause of failures and implement corrective action.Understanding and application of pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and power transmission principles and practices.Fabrication of components and devices using manual machine shop equipment.Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.Repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.Repairs and maintains the physical structure of the facility.Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, milling equipment to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures, and tools.Operates cutting torch and welding equipment to cut or join metal.Able to train/mentor maintenance team members on repair techniques, troubleshooting, and safe operating procedures.Effective communication with internal and external customers.On-call maintenance responder.
