The National Security Agency (NSA) currently has opportunities for a highly motivated Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Software Administrator. At the Agency, MES Software Administrators provide real time software support required in a manufacturing environment. They deploy and maintain a multitude of computer aided design and manufacturing software packages needed for the production and traceability of highly sophisticated products. They also install hardware, perform system administration duties, and troubleshoot local networks, computers, and address other IT issues. Degrees in Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Security, Networking (Systems Administration), and Information Assurance may be considered relevant if the programs contain, at minimum, a concentration of courses in the following foundational CS areas: algorithms; computer architecture (not network architecture); programming methodologies and languages; data structures; logic and computation; and upper-level mathematics (for example, calculus, discrete mathematics). Relevant experience must be in systems administration, information technology management, application administration, and/or administering operating systems. Experience in manufacturing or with manufacturing execution systems is preferred.
