AREA SALES MANAGERMendocino Farms Remote Position Overview The San Diego Area Sales Manager is responsible for planning, developing, and growing sales for multiple restaurant locations in their region (x5), while maintaining relationships with existing clients. This position reports into Marketing and is responsible for working with the Director of Operations, management and catering teams at each store on our Mendo "Best Practices"A' for sales building and catering. Position Description Build & Retain SalesPartner on an ongoing basis with the General Managers and Directors of Operations to drive sales to each store, with particular focus on NSOs and focus stores. Sales building tactics include:Catering lead generationIdentification of store's key target clientsSample cateringsCorportate event participationDigital Office hero - monitoring submissions and identifying key opportunities to develop new relationships and partnerships through this programMaintaining relationships with existing catering clientsKnowledgeable about each store's top 20 catering clientsDeveloping automated CRM communicationPartnering with the catering teams on cookie drops, follow-up emails, etc.Neighborhood Marketing PlaybookCommunity engagementGive BacksProgram ideation & amplificationRelationship building with schools and proactive outreachExecution and coordination with storesEvents - responsible for seeking local events that align with our brand and missionSponsorshipsHelp to lead new initiatives aimed at driving sales by meeting the needs of catering clientsFarmstand and other distribution partnerships to officesBulk stored value at a discountOther new initiativesKey participatnt in helping drive sales & awareness for any NSOs (New Store Openings) in the regionAligns with Ops & Marketing stakeholders on GO sales, ramp goals, and pre-opening sales & marketing activitiesPartners with NSO Marketing Manager on identifying key targets for Sample Caterings & invites for training eventsExecutes sample caterings and/or office/residential food dropsStream teaming strategy & executionAttends training and Grand Opening events to build relationshipsMeetings & ReportingParticipate in weekly catering calls with all ASMs and Catering Teams to discuss upcoming initiatives, promotions, and areas of focusParticipate in bi-weekly Sales Building calls with Ops, Ops Services, and MarketingCreates weekly reporting outlines sales activities and results drivenReviews all stores in region on a quarterly basis with other key stakeholders to determine Focus Stores for the upcoming quarter Monitor Sales & Trends Within MarketUnderstands the overall region's fast casual market, competitors' strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand, and how to sell against themParticipates in networking opportunities with others in the region (admins, restaurant operators/salespeople, etc.)Stays up to date on local trends and needs as they arise and creatively thinks through solutions to new challengesMonitors guest reviews through Yext, looks for trends per store and reviews with DO for improvement Being the Local Brand AmbassadorServe as Key Connecter within the region (for both marketing & guests)Main contact for property managers and centersOwner of store database / RolodexVet local events and marketing opportunitiesContribute localized content for Mendo's social channels (Instagram and Facebook)i.e. events, Team Members, etc. Leadership, Coaching, & PartnershipPartners with Operations (VP of Ops, DOs, Ops Services, etc.) to attract, develop and retain the right team members to maintain the Mendocino Farms "Best in Class"A' Catering StandardsPartner with the Director of Sales & Engagement to execute marketing campaigns & promotions at the regional levelDirects, leads, and coaches the Catering Team using sales initiatives and "Best in Class"A' Standards to achieve individual and team sales goalsKey Skills and Requirements Travel is required, must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportationProven ability to develop, nurture, and maintain strong client relationshipsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environmentMust be organized, and possess a strong sense of urgency and professional demeanorProficiency in Microsoft Office programs and Google SuiteCandidates must live within the region they support and must have the ability to work remotelyGoal-oriented self-starterWilliness and desire to adapt with the role and company as we grow; accepts changeInterest in being a part of a high-growth company
