Summary of the Position : The International Tax Director will have oversight over both provision and compliance work outside the United States. This position oversees an Indirect Tax Manager, will be located in Gaithersburg, MD and reports to the Senior Director, Global Taxes. Responsibilities include but are not limited to : Lead the execution of international tax planning strategies to manage global tax risks and optimize efficiency with respect to international operations and structure Work with legal on formation of new international legal entities and/or branches, rep offices, etc. Work with outside advisors on creation and implementation of the Company's Transfer Pricing methodology Assist in drafting and review of intercompany agreements Evaluate, document and minimize global Permanent Establishment (PE) risk Coordinate the international section of annual and quarterly tax provisions Work closely with cross-functional groups on managing international tax issues from ongoing operations Provide support to team members on VAT and GST returns and/or audits as the need arises Serve as the principal liaison with third party tax advisors on various international tax matters as required. Monitor and anticipate changes in international tax laws of importance to the organization, determine the impact of those changes on the organization, and recommend appropriate modifications to the organization's procedures or operations in response to such changes. Coordinate the international components of the US income tax return including review of all relevant forms (eg GILTI, FDII, Section 250, Sub F, etc.) Review of foreign tax returns prepared by outside advisors and coordination of foreign income tax audits Review customer and supplier contracts for appropriate tax language Comply with SOX documentation requirements Tax research and special projects as needed Minimum Requirements : BA or BS degree in Finance or Accounting Master's degree in tax and/or CPA strongly preferred. 15+ years international tax experience including 5+ years with Big 4 Firm Knowledge and experience with core US federal international tax concepts including GILTI, FDII, BEAT, FTC and E&P calculations Experience with key US federal international tax forms including Forms 1118, 5471, 8990, 8991, 8992, 8993 Vast knowledge of tax laws, rules, and regulations as well as experience working on corporate-level tax analyses. History of successful project completion and ability to clearly communicate key issues with team members Other Qualifications : Demonstrate integrity and honesty and model ethical behavior and core values of the company.
