Novavax is seeking a Marketing Operations Director to join our growing marketing organization. As Marketing Operations Director , you will serve as the primary point of contact for Marketing Operations. You will be responsible for identifying and implementing capability processes and enhancements across the marketing organization that drive coordination and collaboration among all key stakeholders. In addition, you will lead the Brand Operating Planning process. Job responsibilities: This role will provide you the opportunity to lead key activities to progress your career, with key responsibilities including: Lead for Brand Operating Plan (strategy and tactical plan) including facilitating a matrix of individuals across marketing brand teams, MCM, Market Access, Medical, Regulatory, Policy & Government Affairs, and PR culminating in creation of the Ops Plan that is presented to Leadership Team to secure funding for the brand. Drive development, coordination, and editing of key marketing presentations for marketing team meetings and cross-functional presentations. Operational support across the marketing functions and coordination between corporate marketing and the markets (4 ex-US hubs) for consistency, connection, and awareness to ensure brand impact and success Point person for marketing A&P budget tracking Ensure process development/improvements to gain Marketing Alignment and ensure smooth interface with Sales Operations team and executional excellence Lead forward looking review of POA recommendations to Sales/Marketing leadership Lead coordination of agency mid-year and annual reviews, partnering with procurement and marketing team members to ensure fees are in line with benchmarks Create stronger Marketing community by improving consistency of communications to team, engagement, and consistent onboarding into Marketing Team Provide ad hoc operational support for planning and development of Marketing offsite meetings, including coordination of identified training resources and general oversight on coordination of offsite/training meetings This person will report to the Vice President, Global Marketing, based in the US HQ in Gaithersburg, MD. Minimal requirements: Bachelors Degree in business or related discipline, MBA preferred 12+ years combination of Marketing, and Pharma Sales or Operations experience Vaccines experience preferred but not required Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong business & scientific acumen, learning agility Ability to influence & build strong relationships in a matrix environment Ability to prioritize, pivot, and manage multiple projects simultaneously Project management experience in the commercial operations area within a pharma / biopharmaceutical company Building strong relationships and collaboration, managing trusted stakeholder relationships internally and externally. Budgeting, commercial, and financial acumen Ability to influence, challenge thinking and gain credibility with senior stakeholder A record of strategic thinking and disciplined execution Ability to collaborate across regional and HQ functions (eg Sales, Finance, Marketing, Analytics) Experience with budget management and agency management Demonstrated sense of ownership for the shared success of the team and asset Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic, competitive environment Competitive mindset; feels driven to conquer uncharted territory Strength in storytelling, data visualization and developing effective presentations Ability to influence in multiple ways and build credibility quickly with key stakeholders and peers Role will require ~30% travel (international and domestic).
