PURVIS Systems is seeking an experienced Acoustics Engineer (Electronics Technician) to provide general engineering support on Navy equipment for acoustic acquisition and analysis. Responsibilities:A' This position will directly support the In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) and Technical Direction Agent (TDA) for the Submarine Total Ship Monitoring System (TSMS) at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD).A' This work includes, but is not limited to:A' .A' A' A' A' A' A' Vibration and acoustic data analysisA' .A' A' A' A' A' A' Software acceptance testing A' .A' A' A' A' A' A' Test development and reviewA' .A' A' A' A' A' A' Developer oversight and performance checksA' .A' A' A' A' A' A' System technical assistance and fleet supportA' .A' A' A' A' A' A' Training and maintenance development/supportA' .A' A' A' A' A' A' General engineering support to the TDA and ISEAA' .A' A' A' A' A' A' Logistics and supportability for acoustics systemsA' A' .A' A' A' A' A' A' Occasional travel to include shoreside and underway activitiesA' Qualifications:A' A' .A' A' A' A' A' A' Bachelors' degree in Engineering desired (Electrical, Mechanical, Acoustics, or similar), though significant technician experience may be substituted. A' .A' A' A' A' A' A' Relevant coursework includes but is not limited to Digital Signal Processing, Analog to Digital Processing, Signal Analysis, Filter Design, Digital System Design, Linear Electronics, Signals & Systems, Data Structures, Non-Linear Vibrations, Power & Propulsion, Acoustics, etc).A' .A' A' A' A' A' A' Experience or education in signal processingA' .A' A' A' A' A' A' Experience in acoustic and vibration data analyticsA' .A' A' A' A' A' A' Experience in MatLabA' .A' A' A' A' A' A' Desired experience includes analog to digital signal processing, underwater acoustics analytics, Fast Attack Submarine Sonarman Experience, and Submarine Total Ship Monitoring System operation (TSMS)Candidate must have a SECRET clearance.
