Novavax has also developed early stage products for emerging diseases based on its proprietary nanoparticle technology as well as it's MatrixA$ cents A cents € zA' cents adjuvant, currently in testing across all age demographics.We are seeking a Senior Equipment Maintenance Technician to supervise and/or execute defined day-to-day maintenance activities for manufacturing process and laboratory equipment in compliance with applicable cGMP / cGLP standards, regulations, techniques and best practices and business metrics and to assist in the design and implementation of processes, procedures and work practices leading to consistent, efficient, and compliant maintenance activities.Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing process equipment and laboratory equipment as required.Assist/oversee in routine installation, assembly, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of process and lab equipment such as bioreactors, shakers, centrifuges, mixers, Bio Safety hoods, stability chambers, sterilizers, autoclaves, glass washers, clean steam systems, freezers, and pumps in accordance with cGMP requirements.Manage all documentation following cGMP / cGLP practices.Execute Preventative and Corrective Maintenance tasks in a timely manner.Complete all assigned tasks following cGMP / cGLP practices, OSHA and other Federal and State regulationsPerform housekeeping of assigned work areaProvide input into new equipment and instrument purchasesAssist with maintaining spare parts inventories for equipment and systemsApply best GXP work-practices and techniques to remain in compliance with FDA regulatory requirements.To undertake any other duties as requested by the line manager in accordance with company requirements.This job may require on call availability 24/7.Assist with investigations related to deviations and/or CAPA'sMinimum requirements: Certificate from a Vocational or Trade School or Associates Degree in technical fieldMinimum of 8 years work experience in equipment maintenance preferably in the medical device or pharmaceutical industries.Knowledge in troubleshooting PLC systems.Knowledge in troubleshooting electrical and instrumentation systems.Knowledge in troubleshooting mechanical and pneumatic systems.Knowledge on personal computer and software like MS Word, Excel and Power PointExperience with CMMS software: Blue Mountain Regulatory Asset Manager a plus.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Experienced with Good Documentation Practices.Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.Ability to accurately document activities and keep organized records.Novavax, Inc. is headquartered in Gaithersburg, Maryland with additional facilities in Uppsala, Sweden.
