Summary of the Position : Reporting to the Director of Organizational Resilience, the HOP Specialist, Adult Learning is responsible for the socialization, coaching, and mentoring of leaders and individual contributors in the internalization and application of Human and Organizational Performance principles and practical approaches to improve operational reliability and resilience. The HOP Specialist, Adult Learning will apply their expertise in adult learning theory and application to partner in developing and implementing a plan for the integration of Human and Organizational Performance principles and practices into manufacturing operations and enabling functions. The HOP Specialist, Adult Learning will lead elements of the plan related to learning to build the organizational capabilities required to support the installation and improvement of key elements and capacities necessary for Human and Organizational Performance excellence. The HOP Specialist, Adult Learning evaluates results of plans they lead against organizational goals, adapting and refining integration efforts, as needed. The HOP Specialist, Adult Learning will actively collaborate with HOP Specialists colleagues to perform analyses, determine drivers of current state performance outcomes, communicate insights, and select appropriate solutions (learning or otherwise) to achieve desired performance outcomes. The incumbent will interact frequently with representatives at various levels and multiple functions such as Manufacturing, Facilities and Engineering, Operational Excellence, EHS, and Quality. R esponsibilities include but are not limited to: Improve operational reliability and resilience by partnering with leaders and individual contributors; lead efforts to design, develop, and implement learning content required to strengthen practices for the management of risk associated with the preparation and execution of work tasks and practices to drive proactive operational learning. Participate and support activities designed to drive awareness and engagement in HOP. Lead teams to create and deliver learning content required to build understanding and application capabilities for the principles and practices of HOP. Working with customers and key stakeholders, design and create learning solutions using multiple modalities and media (eg communication bulletins, guides / manuals, instructor led training, eLearning, video, audio) by applying best practices in adult learning theory and instructional design. Develop and partner in the facilitation of leadership workshops. Develop and communicate Human and Organizational Performance case studies and success stories of mission moments. Facilitate and execute periodic Human Performance Maturity Assessments. Develop methods of measuring performance required to bring visibility to progress and effectiveness of activities aligned the Human and Organizational Performance deployment and integration plan. Collaborate with members of other functional areas and learning partners to ensure consistent approaches and leveraging of best practices across Novavax for the improvement of operational reliability and resilience. Mi n im um Requirements: Bachelor's degree required in education, organizational learning and development, or a closely related discipline. Specialized education or experience with adult learning theory and application. Experience with instructional design. Novice knowledge and experience with the principles and practices of Human and Organizational Performance (HOP / H&OP), also known as Safety II, Safety Differently, Human Performance (HP / HuP), and / or resilience engineering. 5-7 years of experience in organizational development and learning initiatives or adult education. A proven track record in the design and implementation of learning that achieves strong and measurable business benefit. Preferred Requirements: Advanced degree preferred in education, organizational learning and development, or a closely related discipline. Basic knowledge and experience in Human and Organizational Performance (HOP / H&OP), also known as Safety II, Safety Differently, Human Performance (HP / HuP), and / or resilience engineering preferred.
