Hard-won lessons and significant advances illustrate that our proven technology has tremendous potential to make a substantial contribution to public health worldwide.We are seeking an IT SAP FICO Business Analyst II/III to support the Finance organization within the SAP Center of Excellence (CoE). The SAP FICO Business Analyst II/III is an important customer facing role for the delivery of SAP based solutions. Join a global team and help us leverage SAP to meet Novavax's rapidly growing business. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with experience and interest in working in a fast growing, entrepreneurial environment with broad opportunities to learn more and help others.Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Serves as an SAP Functional SAP FICO Business Analyst II/III supporting the Finance team organization and reaching out to SAP experts network to propose solutions and help getting these solutions tested and moved to production safely.Supports SAP solutions for Finance and Controlling (Mainly related to standard processes: RTR/BTC, PTP/S2P, OTC)Work collaboratively with the Business Key Users and the SAP Experts network/community (Senior Business Analysts, Contractors/Consultants)Contacts the users (via screen sharing/ MS Teams) about tickets, and document the request properly in our ticketing system (SNOW - Service Now), route tickets to the proper team for proper resolution, and escalade issues to managers based on severity of impact on the businessSupports other solutions integration with Finance in the SAP eco-system, such as Concur, Ariba/Coupa, etc.,Help the SAP experts draft the Business Requirements, and start documenting the design specifications, and help the team ensuring that requirements are effectively met, tested and implementedPerforms application configuration, testing, and functional support as needed based on SOPs approved by the SAP Experts network/communityOther duties as assignedMay require periodic weekend/evening workPrimarily located in Gaithersburg, MD, but remote work possible 1-2 days per weekTravel to other sites may be requiredMinimum requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification level, preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, relevant science degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.Minimum of 3-5 years of SAP FICO experience is required, SAP S/4 HANA is preferredSAP functional knowledge in Finance and Controlling is requiredKnowledge in other SAP functional areas desirableExperience in Life Sciences strongly preferredKnowledge of SOX compliance or Computer System Validation (CSV) preferredStrong influencing, networking, and team working skillsMust possess excellent customer service, problem solving, troubleshooting, and verbal/written communication skillsExperience with ITIL, COBIT, or other IT good practices desirableNovavax is headquartered in Gaithersburg, Maryland with additional facilities in Uppsala, Sweden and Bohumil, Czech Republic.
