Summary of the Position : We are seeking a Security Technical Specialist who will e nsure multiple security systems in Novavax facilities in the US and Overseas are well-maintained by performing routine inspections and reporting inspection results. Initiate and track-to-completion resulting corrective actions under minimal supervision. The individual will r eview security quotes in depth and provide cost analysis with a goal to reduce costs on equipment or installation, as well as, p rovide a moderate level of programming, troubleshooting, diagnostic, and repair of building security systems, equipment and includes but equipment components which not limited to security automation in joint electrical spaces. The individual will also Coordinate and oversee the maintenance, organization, and control of security documents and files, including activities such as filing, assembling files, document retrieval, copying, and document control. Responsibilities include but are not limited to : Reports directly to the Sr. Security Manager on security equipment and software status. Ensure multiple security systems in Novavax facilities in the US and Overseas are well-maintained by performing routine inspections and reporting inspection results. Initiate and track-to-completion resulting corrective actions under minimal supervision. Review security quotes in depth and provide cost analysis with a goal to reduce costs on equipment or installation. Provide a moderate level of programming, troubleshooting, diagnostic, and repair of building security systems, equipment and includes but equipment components which not limited to security automation in joint electrical spaces. Coordinating and oversee the maintenance, organization, and control of security documents and files, including activities such as filing, assembling files, document retrieval, copying, and document control. Coordinate outside vendors to support security processes and oversee and maintain the repair of security equipment in collaboration with preferred vendors. Work with venders and department owners for scheduling of maintenance and potential down times of Security equipment. Coordinate and support Facilities and IT in all security technical equipment matters. Conducting all activities in the most careful and safe manner and in full compliance with Environmental, Health and Safety requirements. Ensure security equipment and software are functional at all times and comply with defined standards. Identifying areas for continuous improvement and escalate those to the respective manager. Undertake any other duties as requested by the Security Office in accordance with company requirements. Maintain security equipment and installation records, forms, warranties for review, audits, and repair requests. Other duties as assigned by the Security Office. This job requires on call availability 24/7. Minimum Requirements : High school diploma, Attended Trade school or Apprenticeship preferred. Genetec system experience required. 10 years' experience in performing Security Technician duties. Security design and engineering experience required. Up to date knowledge in Security systems, contracts, and equipment. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. MS Office Applications, Word, Excel, MS Project. Ability to interact cross-functionally is essential. Exceptional practical problem-solving skills.
