Description Robert Half is accepting applications for a skilled Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk that thrives in a fast-paced environment and is seeking a short-term contract / contract / temporary position at a recognized company in the Healthcare, Hospitals, Social Assistance industry. Processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, processing checks, resolving A/P issues, and matching, batching, and coding invoices are just a few of the responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Clerk. Excellent communication, written and verbal are a must, as well as building relationships with vendors and other departments. Located in Bethesda, Maryland, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a short-term contract / contract / temporary opening.Your responsibilities- Manage the process of verifying, logging, and mailing checks, including expediting special handling- Accomplish full-cycle A/P- Perform daily processes and controls correctly and punctually, ensuring company policies are followed- Assist the AP/Finance Department with administrative tasks- Manage customer service tasks for internal business partners- Perform special projects as assigned- Open, sort, and distribute daily department mail- Organize, register, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents- Help with internal and external audits as required Requirements - Articulate customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds - Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement - Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases - 3+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred - Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) - Microsoft Great Plains Accounting experience preferred - AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
