Description HYBRID WORK OPPORTUNITY Robert Half has partnered with a large healthcare company in the Baltimore area in search of a Senior Manager of Accounting & Reporting. This role has excellent growth potential - there is a proven track record of advancing people who shine!The Accounting Manager will inherit 2 direct reports and be responsible for adding to the team as necessary. The regular monthly duties include, but not limited to, overseeing the corporate month-end close, journal entry review, journal entry reconciliation. There will also be heavy involvement with lease accounting and fixed assets.Major responsibilities include:+ Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process by providing entries for non-recurring transactions and other complex accounting matters.+ Support the research and resolution of significant and / or non-routine transactions including but not limited to revenue recognition, leasing, variable interest entities, acquisitions and divestitures+ Perform accounting research on GAAP, FASB, and other reporting requirements for new accounting standards and business transactions.+ Work FP& A and other business partners in analyzing transactions, determining accounting treatment and impact on forecasts. Monitor business activities to identify accounting and financial reporting matters and recommend practical solutions for potential business transactions.+ Assessing the implementation for the new leasing standard and assisting with coordination efforts with the segment+ Creating and updating internal accounting policiesWork with a fantastic, tenured leadership team and be rewarded for your efforts This employer offers a fantastic comprehensive benefit package and remote work opportunity!
