Description This Accounts Receivable (A/R) position is an opportunity to grow with a thriving company. The Accounts Receivable Clerk role will be based in the Washington, District of Columbia region and is a permanent employment opportunity. In this role, it will be critical for you to enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging reports, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, and update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L.Your responsibilities in this role- Ensure the mission, values, and culture of the organization are supported, conveyed and reinforced- Handle monthly closings and annual reports, including processing payments and compiling segments in compliance with GAAP- Confirm documents and codes are correct- Reconcile bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in various ledgers- Handle a range of basic accounting tasks using standard procedures- Answer questions from shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stake holders- Contact clients to help resolve payment issues; assist in setting up payment plansAll interested candidates in this AR Specialist role and other full-time permanent opportunities please send your resume to Justin Decker via LinkedIn.
