This permanent position is for a Controller who will work in the Columbia, Maryland region. To succeed in this role, you will need to plan and direct all accounting operational functions, handle the accumulation, consolidation and presentation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluate accounting and internal control systems, and lead departmental staff. The company provides exceptional compensation and benefits and potential for career growth.What you get to do every single day- Perform duties beyond formal job responsibilities- Time monthly billing and other cash management techniques to make sure cash collection is punctual- Manage the creation of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts- Reviews deliverables of self and team to ensure that they meet client expectations- Direct finance department activities, such as accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll- Prepare cash-flow reports, projecting cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, daily cash management- Collaborate with executive team and partners to support efficient and effective firm-wide operation- Support Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, with research, planning, and implementation, as required- Each month, present executive committee and PE company partners with financial reports- Perform tasks associated with month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis- Assess, execute and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologiesIf interested please apply within or reach out to Ray Saiyed and refer to JO# 02000-0012157766 for immediate consideration. Requirements - BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, required with CPA or MBA preferred- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred- Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines- Private Equity backed company reporting experience desired- Adeptness in MS Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations- Proficiency in financial reporting including Monthly and Annual Financial Reporting experience preferred- Experience with general ledger- Demonstrated knowledge of Software Implementations- Strong familiarity with Financial Statement Reporting- Outstanding communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations- Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges- Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued- Outstanding technology, analytics and management experience requiredRobert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
