Description Robert Half is hiring an AP Manager in Columbia Maryland. The right candidate for the job will be supervising a team of 5-6 and will be working in a hybrid capacity. This is a contractual to permanent opportunity with a very well known medical company. If you are looking for your next AP Manager position, apply today!Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* Supervises, develops and supports a team of Account Payable Associates responsible for daily payment processing of vendor invoices, client refunds, check requests and employee expense reports* Manages check and ACH payment batches in the Great Plains accounting system and the Ivalua electronic invoicing system* Manages the daily posting of payment batches for Accounts Payable including batches integrated from other external systems* Supervises the distribution of all checks and non-invoice mail* Manages the invoice queues in the Ivalua electronic invoicing system to ensure prompt processing of all invoices* Supervises the processing of employee expense reports in the Concur expense reporting system* Supervises the processing of all check requests in Great Plains* Assists in updating and enforcing all Accounts Payable policies and procedures* Assists in the accounting month-end close process* Provides excellent customer service to vendors and internal employees by managing all inquiries* Performs other duties as assigned/necessaryIf you are interested, please call Robert Half a 410-423-9454 Requirements -Accounts Payable (AP), Posting Payments, Batching, Coding Invoices, Expense Reports, Monthly CloseAt least five (5) years of Accounts Payable processing experience required-At least one (1) year of supervisory experience preferred-Demonstrated experience with general ledger account reconciliations, including month-end closing processes and general knowledge of accounting principles-Experience with the setup and maintenance of the vendor master file, including 1099 reporting -Proficiency in Word and Excel-Experience in an electronic Accounts Payable processing environment -Experience working with a multi-location company preferred-Experience using an automated expense reporting system preferred-Experience with Procurement Cards preferredRobert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
