Description:Senior Specialist, Product Owner Software EngineerJob Code: SAS20222504-81189Job Location: Rochester, NY, Herndon, VA, Melbourne, FL, Los Angeles, CAJob Description:The product owner (PO) is an advocate for the customer. Each product owner will have one or more customers but a customer will not have more than one PO. They define stories to be done by the product team that will incrementally enhance the value that their customers get from the product. This generally takes the form of customizations or new functionality but make also include configuration. They prioritize the stories to maximize the value to the customer. They work with the Technical Leads (TL) to understand any technical dependencies and ensure each story has sufficient detail so that the team understands the purpose and scope of the work. It is expected that a PO will not be doing development. The product team operates as a Scrum development effort.Essential Functions: Represent the customer's interest Convert customer requirements into stories Work with TL to refine the stories Work with other POs to prioritize the team backlogs Work with the Program Manager (PM) to ensure appropriate work is being performed for each efforts FTE allocation Product evangelist for the customerQualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technologies, or related disciplineand a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. DOD TS Clearance or TS/SCI Experience using Scrum development methodology and Agile practices Experience with remote sensing platforms, image exploitation software, data simulation, or geospatial data productsPreferred Additional Skills: Strong communication and organization skills TS/SCI Clearance desiredExperience in Programming Languages: C/C++, Java, Javascript, Python Experience with AWS services Experience with full stack Java development Experience with Software as a Service (SaaS) Experience as a successful project leader Knowledge of Intelligence Community (IC) or DoD customers Knowledge of the TCPED chain Software Systems Engineering or Software Architecture
