Responsibilities The Weapons Engineering Manager performs technical tasking for the (OUSD(R&E) Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Research and Engineering, Mission Prototype (MP) Directorate working within the metropolitan Washington, DC area. Overview: Apply Weapons Engineer /Analyst experience to prototyping, experimentations, operational field demonstrations, project management and integration, financial management, and military utility assessments Collaboration with the following organization to experiment and demonstration new technologies is a integral part of this job Combatant Commands, Liaison Officers (LNOs); DoD Services Support to include Science and Technology (S&T) Executives and Service Labs; the Joint Staff J7 & J8, & other defense agencies. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES A cents € cents Assess the lethality components of technical efforts, studies, experiments, demonstrations and proposed projects A cents € cents Conduct initial analysis to determine if desired lethality would be achieved. Define future tests, analysis, studies, experiments and demonstrations. A cents € cents Review data and project detail to evaluate merit & provide recomendations A cents € cents Understand different degrees of lethality and make recommendations for missile/weapons system improvements to enhance lethality A cents € cents Development of test plans and procedures.
