Job SummaryThe Manager Financial Reporting is responsible for managing all financial reporting responsibilities with respect to internal and external recipients.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesManages team responsible for preparation and distribution of GAAP-compliant financial reporting and analysis for internal and external parties. Remains aware of industry standard financial reporting practices and recommend updates as needed.Manages team responsible for preparation of the company's financial covenant reporting and constantly seek ways to streamline/automate responsibilities.Prepares and/or manages ad-hoc reporting and presentation requests from executive management and performs research on various transactions to support growth opportunities for the Company.Supports, trains, and mentors team members.Prepares Board materials to include presentations and analyses and responses to ad hoc queries.Supports the annual financial statement audit and compile the audited financial statements.Prepares rating agencies presentations and periodic internal reporting to forecast performance with respect to rating agency metricsSupports administrative responsibilities with respect to the financial reporting softwarePerforms other duties as assignedPosition RequirementsBachelor's degree in accounting or financeCPA or similar certification preferred5-8 years of general accounting and financial reporting experience required, including 2 years supervisory experienceMortgage accounting knowledge preferredMortgage industry experience strongly preferredAbility to work independently and manage teamStrong written and verbal communication skills with colleagues in various levels of management, including the Executive team.Attention to detail and ownership of financial reporting presentationMust be able to multi-task and prioritize open issuesAdvanced analytical skills and building financial modelsAdvanced knowledge of MS Office, including PowerPoint.
