As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be a member of an Integrated Program Team (IPT)) creating complex digital electronic modules and/or circuit card assemblies (CCA's) that utilize processors, memories, Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs), System on Chip (SOC), and Complex Programmable Logic Devices (CPLDs). Development activities may also include laboratory integration, test and evaluation, fault isolation of prototype hardware, and system qualification testing support. This position may require occasional business-related travel.You will be a member of a multi-disciplinary group of System, Hardware and Software Engineers. The new designs are exciting and technically challenging.Are you up for a challenge?The Senior Electrical Engineer will be a technical leader for the hardware engineering team with a thorough understanding of the following areas: Generate digital CCA requirements based on the system architecture Generate digital documentation that describes the hardware architecture High speed digital circuit design Perform various analyses and simulations for the electronic module Verify electronic module functionality in laboratory environmentExcellent growth opportunities.These are exciting and challenging opportunities with tremendous growth potential leading to an IPT Lead or a Principal Engineer. Join our dynamic, diverse, and rapidly growing team.Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree plus minimum 5 years of experience in digital hardware design and verification Successfully completed several hardware designs with processors, FPGA's, memory components and typical industry interfaces Designed communication interfaces and bus standards (eg, SPI, I2C, PCIe, UART, or Gb Ethernet) Tested and verified designs using logic analyzers, high-speed oscilloscopes, signal generators, and/or target device debugging tools Thorough understanding of PCB design tasks and design tools (schematic capture) The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance US citizenship is required as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearancePreferred Qualifications Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations. Prefer a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Computer or Electrical and Computer Science from an accredited educational institution. Team lead of engineers as a cost account manager using earned value management Proposal support, cost and schedule estimation, and generating technical documentation related to contract deliverable items Designed for applications that utilized red/black separation and redundancy concepts Mentor Graphics Design creation tools, DxDesigner, xDX Designer VX, and Constraint Editor System (CES) Mentor Graphics PCB design software, HyperLynx , Xpedition Enterprise (xPCB) Knowledge of software and/or FPGA code development Generation of routing rules for CAD instruction OpenVPX technology including VITA standards The ability to coordinate with SMEs to help develop PWB fab stack-ups Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation} and ability to effectively communicate with leadership Defense and/or Aerospace industry applicationsAdditional Information This position requires a US Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
