Description:Job Title: Sr Specialist, Software Configuration ManagementJob Code: SAS20222605-83034Job Location: Herndon, VAJob Description:This position provides software configuration management support to programs in Chantilly and Herndon.Essential Functions: Establish and maintain the CM infrastructure Develop dashboards, reports, metrics, and advanced filters to provide meaningful operational/performance metrics and status reports. May perform scripting (Perl, Python, shell) to support existing CM toolset and tool integration. Experience in fast-paced continuous change integration environment Experience in COTS integration environments SW version control per environment. Understanding SW addons needed - what is needed for code deployment. Security scan requirements (items/tools needed). Establish and maintain configuration management documentations (ie - SVD/VDD, release notes) Identify and establish baselines and configuration items Establish and maintain CMDB Manage and maintain program Configuration Items Provide Software CM support to software teams. Perform software configuration status accounting and audits Perform administration and user support, schema development and maintenance for CM toolset. Experience in software release management and delivery Act as liaison between management and other functional groups to resolve configuration issuesQualifications: Proven ability to define and implement Software Configuration Management processes in an enterprise environment. Working knowledge of the following tools: Atlassian JIRA/Confluence, Git/Bitbucket Continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) experience in software release automation in Agile development process Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience; or 2 years post-Secondary/ Associates Degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience; or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. TS//SCI clearancePreferred Additional Skills: Self-directed Strong oral and written communications skills. Ability to develop effective cross-functional working relationships.
