To achieve this, this role will be responsible for articulating McCormick's value proposition leveraging a thorough understanding of McCormick's taste creation capabilities and value proposition, our customers' business, as well as the competitive and market landscape.The Product Line Manager, Savory Flavors role will be responsible for establishing market-sensing activities to ensure that McCormick's capabilities are consistently aligned to key customer, market and consumer trends. This position will actively collaborate cross-functionally with our Technical, Marketing Excellence and Sales teams to ensure that McCormick is well-positioned to deliver on customers' taste delivery and labeling requirements to achieve stated business objectives.This role requires strong influencing skills and the ability to interpret internal and external data from multiple sources and assess the strategic implications for McCormick. This person will communicate and present complex data and information in a clear and simplistic manner, provide solid business rationale with quantitative support, and regularly interact with senior management, marketing, insights, technical, culinary, and other cross-functional partners, external agencies/vendors.RESPONSIBILITIES: Development and profitable growth of North America Flavor capabilities, including application to all targeted food categories. Manage product life cycle including portfolio optimization, new product/capabilities business case development, and commercialization strategy & implementation Manage activities aligned to product line P&L performance with goal of supporting portfolio growth & margin improvement Establish and maintain product line pricing strategy and supporting trade marketing/incentive programs that support NA Flavor go-to-market strategy including benchmarking to competitive landscape Provide strategic coordination with Commercialization, Sales, Marketing Excellence, Technical, Culinary, Consumer & Market Insights and other internal resources. Drive Sales enablement and effectiveness by defining customer segmentation and subsequent marketing plans, proactively identify new content and methods for engaging customers and regularly assess the needs of the Sales team to adjust tools and approach to align with key customer insights/information. Set strategic vision for product line to include annual product line plan. Lead and manage cross functional teams across multiple levelsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BS/BA in Business/Finance/Marketing or related discipline Minimum 5 years' experience in product management/marketing or closely related field; such as sales or customer marketing Position requires strong financial and business acumen and excellent leadership skills. Must be able to lead cross functional teams, with an emphasis on P&L implications. Knowledge of the CPG & Food Service industry and competitive environment necessary to provide Leadership with business case. Comfortable working in matrixed organization and able to lead cross functional teams Superior analytical and organizational skills including good understanding of syndicated retail data analysis, financial analysis, and business planning Strong presentation skills with demonstrated success leading and championing business plan recommendations for senior management required Proficiency with Excel, Powerpoint and MS Office / TeamsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Food Ingredient Marketing Experience and/or B2B Marketing Experience MBA#LI-SM1#LI-Hybrid#Mid-Senior LevelMcCormick & Company is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
