The Associate Director will be a key player in supporting the BT M&A Director with strategic integrations, due diligence, planning and execution. This team member will also support Organon Business Technology TSA governance and the smooth separation from Merck. We are looking for an individual who excels in partnering and influencing in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.This highly motivated person will have the ability and desire to have a significant impact on the future of Organon, enabling our mission to deliver ingenious health solutions that enable people to live their best lives.Primary Responsibilities: Closely partner with BT and business functions across Organon to execute integration strategies closely aligned with Organon Business Development objectives, foster collaboration between business and BT. Participate in business development due diligence and support opportunity analysis while representing BT across Organon, assuring BT is actively engaged in each phase of potential acquisitions and integrations. Coordinate and support deal technical due diligence for BT by leveraging BT colleague expertise. Work with M&A Director to present and communicate due diligence findings and perspectives to stakeholders, sponsors, and senior leadership. Support the creation, management and continuous refinement of a Business Technology integration 'playbook' and standard deliverables to manage business development transactions. Drive BT integration governance, decisions and progress reports for integration efforts. Provide integration updates to ensure leadership awareness of critical issues/risks and drive them to resolution with constant and consistent objectivity. Document detailed integration planning with milestones, timelines, resources, and costs required to achieve deal specific value and synergies. Manage project plans for the overall execution of the integration plan from Day 1 on-boarding to completion of all integration activities. Collaborate and inspire cross-functional teams to successfully plan and execute on integration milestones. Develop and maintain integration budgets and review costs to drive financial metrics for deal value. Drive the pace of integration and maintain alignment with the deal rationale. Stay current in deal and integration thought leadership and best practices to maintain cutting-edge IT M&A integration capabilities. Assist in defining the design and communicate the integration workplans, providing guidelines and statements of direction, tracking the quality, availability, and integration effort execution. Collect data and manage integration budgets related to integration, as well as ensuring with compliance to finance guidelines. Measure and communicate value realized on a periodic basis through defined and agreed upon metrics and supporting analysis. Support BT TSA governance for Organon spin, working closely with the BT M&A Director to manage escalations and issue resolution with the Transition Management Office. Working knowledge of TSAs and associated execution. Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information.Education Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree (preferably in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or Management) At least 8 years overall work experience with 2+ years' relevant work experience in IT and technical diligence supporting information technology integration or separation activities.Required Experience and Skills: A combination of business and technology experience, strong relationship building skills and a collaborative solution-oriented mindset. Global experience in working within a matrixed, multinational organization. Able to align and work with diverse global stakeholders. Broad IT experience in complex systems and interdependencies. Knowledge of and experience in supporting complex post acquisition activities. Knowledge and experience in managing TSAs. Able to build and sustain strong relationships at multiple levels internally and externally; high emotional intelligence and an ability to challenge in a nuanced way. Familiar with a broad spectrum of business and IT functions and applications. Strong collaboration skills to drive cross functional IT teams. Ability to effectively manage projects; results oriented and able to roll-up the sleeves in order to accomplish necessary tasks. Strong analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to communicate complex business / technical challenges in a simplified manner.
