Performs direct athletic training services to patients in accordance with generally accepted athletic training standards, State of Maryland Athletic Training Practice Act, code of ethics, and departmental procedures. Under the supervision of a physician, and in accordance with the quality standards of the department, provides one-on-one clinic care as needed; and other duties as assigned.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Master's degree in Athletic Training required Current Licensure as an Athletic Trainer in the State of Maryland. Two years of experience in a physician office or hospital preferred Working knowledge of managed care basics, and experience working with a managed care and Medicare population Comfortable using email and interacting with Internet applications Knowledge of practice management and word processing software Pleasant speaking voice and demeanor Good communication skills
