Duties

  • Serve as an Administrative Officer with limited supervision providing good organization, time management, and administrative support to the Board.
  • Work with the PCLOB Board Members and Staff to schedule meetings for Board initiatives, including determining the availability of all PCLOB participants, coordinating with individuals outside the agency to establish availability, and setting meetings as expeditiously as possible.
  • Assist Board Staff by providing operational support which may include scheduling interviews, coordinating issues with facilities, escorting uncleared visitors, assisting with inventory, and managing supplies requests.
  • Prepare materials for meetings, including printing documents, preparing binders, and assembling materials, as needed.
  • Utilize superior oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, attention to detail, interpersonal skills, the ability to produce clear, logical, and concise communications, and working effectively and collaboratively with agency employees and external officials.

Qualifications

At the AD-00 level (GS-07 Equivalency), you must meet the following qualification:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 level. Specialized experience is that which has equipped the applicant with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Specialized experience for this position includes but is not limited to: scheduling; communication in both oral and written communication; providing administrative guidance in clerical tasks; answering office phones; assisting with facilities issues; coordinating with others specifically interpersonal skills and multitasking.

At the AD-00 level (GS-09 Equivalency), you must meet the following qualification:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 level. Specialized experience is that which has equipped the applicant with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Specialized experience for this position includes but is not limited to: scheduling; arranging meetings with other government officials and private sector entities; engagement and collaboration with Agency and/or external agency officials; distributing memos and reports; managing inventory and supply requests; performing administrative tasks and multitasking.; OR
B. A master's or equivalent graduate degree; or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree; or LL.B. or J.D., if related in one of the following fields business administration, business management, etc.; OR
C. A Combination of education and experience as list above.

At the AD-00 level (GS-11 Equivalency) level, you must meet the following qualification:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 level. Specialized experience is that which has equipped the applicant with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Specialized experience for this position includes but is not limited to: interacting with external agencies or private sector entities; office coordination to include facilitating facilities issues; scheduling meetings for senior level staff; preparing meeting materials for senior officials; managing inventory and supply requests; providing operational support; and answering office phones; OR
B. A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; or 3 full years progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree; or LL.M., if related in one of the following fields business administration, business management, etc.; OR
C. A Combination of education and experience as list above.

Only experience and education obtained by the closing date of this announcement will be considered.

A written test is not required.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

SERIES/GRADE: The agency uses the Administratively Determined pay system in which rank is attached to the individual.

Telework Suitability:
The duties of this position are suitable for occasional telework and the selectee may be allowed to telework with supervisor approval and if they meet the eligibility criterion in the 2010 Telework Act.

Stipulations of Employment:
Selection for this position may require serving a 2-year trial period.

Work Schedule:
This position allows for a flexible work schedule.
