Job Description

The Washington Post seeks an experienced and creative photo assignment editor to join our award-winning photo team comprised of visual journalists who find fresh and compelling ways to tell stories.

This photo assignment editor will assign, research and generate photography primarily for The Home You Own, a destination within The Washington Post's Lifestyle team in Features.

This editor must have a nuanced eye for photography and be able to work with freelance photographers and our staff photojournalists. The successful candidate for this rewarding position will work collaboratively with The Home You Own team to produce photography that is engaging and informative, and with our visual enterprise editors and design teams to present powerful visual storytelling on multiple platforms. In addition, this editor will help the photo team support a new Wellness department.

This position is based in our Washington newsroom and is not eligible for remote work.
