Director, Product Management - Enterprise Data Insights, Machine Learning Services

Data Insights is a Capital One engineered enterprise platform that enables Machine Learning libraries as a service. This allows teams to solve for business monitoring, model monitoring, forecasting and prediction using machine learning algorithms with a no code platform. The machine learning technology detects anomalies in data in real-time, proactively signals critical trend changes, and conducts root cause analysis to identify the cause of these trends.

Capital One is currently using Data Insights to monitor fraud, credit performance, originations, market share, models, S3 buckets by IAM role and more. You'll get to work on an amazing team building a multi-tenant workflow orchestration platform running on Kubernetes using the latest distributed computing technologies powering some exciting use-cases.

  • Lead the ideation, product development and launch of Data Insights
  • Establish shared vision across the enterprise by building consensus on priorities leading to product execution
  • Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products
  • Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm
  • Strength in building partnerships; working collaboratively in a matrix, proven influencing skills
  • Integrate usability studies, research and market analysis into product requirements to enhance features
  • Ability to thoroughly understand complex business and technical issues and influence decision making at all levels of the organization without formal reporting structure authority


Responsible for Zero to One Activities
  • Drive the discovery, ideation and delivery for exposing the core platform features to the end user
  • Drive ML infrastructure decisions with technologists using understanding of ML modeling techniques
  • Engage with end users of the platform to discover feature capabilities to be built on the platform
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvements and evangelizing usage of the platform
  • Participate in Enterprise and Commercialization forums
  • Drive requirements through appropriate Risk partners
  • Engage and Influence multiple stakeholders across Enterprise to get stuff done


Responsible for Data Insights Product Development
  • Drive agenda for Data Insights Product Pods ( UX + Monitoring as a Service)
  • Build core AI/ML compute features on the platform by prioritizing key capability backed by research and customer empathy
  • Improve customer experience through client research and user forums feedback loop
  • Streamline internal onboarding process
  • Enable client communications
  • Become a SME on Data Insights Product capabilities


Responsible for "Run the Engine" support
  • Oversee capacity planning / staffing for Data Insights
  • Support analytics on customer experience (NPS, etc.)


Team Management
  • Lead cross functional product pods
  • 2-3 Direct Reports


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 7 years of experience in digital product management


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
  • MBA or Master's degree
  • 2+ years of experience in Machine Learning or Data Insights
  • 5+ years of experience in Agile product management
  • 5+ years of experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer facing digital products
