Product Manager

Do you love building and pioneering in the technology space? Do you enjoy solving complex business problems in a fast-paced, collaborative, inclusive and iterative delivery environment? At Capital One, you'll be part of a big group of makers, breakers, doers and disruptors, who love to solve real problems and meet real customer needs.

We are seeking a Product Manager who is passionate about emerging technologies to join us. As a Product Manager in our Associate Experience Technology team, you'll be helping to set the framework for the device strategy and user experience across the enterprise. You'll be crushing it by leading initiatives, programs, and projects to provide the best experience to our users while maintaining a high bar for security and data-loss prevention. You'll need to be pragmatic and practical in your understanding of risk and efficiency, but also willing to know when to pull in experts and escalate. There will be a ton of opportunities to collaborate and innovate with other teams within Capital One to push the envelope, and you'll be on the front lines of driving major transformations within Capital One. If you've got a (metaphorical) fever, and the only cure is being on the forefront of enterprise technology and providing the conduit for a motivated workforce to do amazing things - you've come to the right place.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Help define strategy and product roadmap for the experience of multiple device types and operating systems
  • Communicate roadmap and business impact with tech teams and lines of business
  • Work with our tech team and Agile partners to define stories, build, and execute against product roadmap
  • Build connections across lines of business and understand their various goals
  • Continuously optimize and improve our strategy with key partners and lines of businesses to better serve their needs
  • Work with our platform engineers and partner teams to inform strategy and user experience for our endpoints
  • Meaningfully drive and measure value of our product suite solutions

We want you if you are:
  • Intellectually Curious. You ask why, you explore, you're not afraid to blurt out your crazy idea or follow an email chain for weeks to find someone with an answer. Comfortable with ambiguity, a hunger to learn and a seeker of new challenges.
  • Communicator & Influencer. You can communicate complex ideas clearly regardless of your audience. Our team knows their priorities and why they're doing what they're doing. You always can rally associates to work with you.
  • Do-er. You're biased toward action, you try things and sometimes you fail. You can get around roadblocks and stay focused on your goals. You're well organized, able to multitask and able to prioritize your work.
  • Passionate & Customer Focus. You care about growing others and bringing them together around what's possible. You get a thrill from the journey of building and shipping products, and you have a desire and ability to connect with our external or internal customers to fully understand their needs.
  • Learner. You have an appetite to learn new things or new technologies all while exhibiting humbleness when the time comes to ask for help.
  • Team Player. You enjoy working with diverse people and driving the team toward a common goal. You have the ability to put the team before yourself and establish long-lasting relationships.

Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
  • At least 1 year experience with enterprise management of desktop operating systems (Windows, Mac or Chrome)
  • At least 1 year of experience working on core product platforms or enterprise technology
  • At least 2 years of product management experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • 1+ years working with cross functional teams as a product owner in an agile development process
  • 2+ years of experience working with cross functional teams in Agile product management
  • 2+ years desktop engineering experience
  • 3+ years of experience in product design, agile delivery, business analysis, or platform engineering
