Underwriting & Portfolio Manager, Project Manager

The Project Manager for the Healthcare Cash Flow & TMT segments within Specialty Lending will manage various reporting, analytical, project and audit related responsibilities. This professional will support a senior Underwriting & Portfolio Management (UW&PM) leader by assisting the coordination, delivery and timeliness of the responsibilities below.

Candidate will work with: Credit Review, regulatory relation teams, M&A, Policy, Credit Solutions, Credit Analytics, TOH team, SIG, UW&PM TLs & associates, originations, Credit R isk O fficers/CR&A

General Responsibilities:
  • Lead various UW&PM activities in coordination with team (e.g. special / ad hoc project requests), such as, managing project timelines and deliverables, helping to define scope / solutions, coordinating across functions and obtaining support/approvals as necessary.
  • Assist in maintaining data trend analysis on the underlying portfolios. Help to identify delinquencies in terms of reporting / portfolio management requirements. Reinforce and monitor delinquency / completion of annual reviews, risk ratings, financial statement spreading, covenant tracking, etc.
  • Serve as point person / coordinator for various audit requests (Credit Review, OCC, SNC, Corporate Audit) with timely identification and remediation of regulatory findings, observations, issues and events.
  • Identify existing UW&PM processes that can be simplified and drive change; participate in improvement projects
  • Assist with team building initiatives and ambassador feedback coordination.
  • Coordinate with team/partners on quarterly portfolio reviews, annual segment reviews, new product launches where necessary.
  • Help prepare content for periodic team meetings.
  • Monitor and track adherence to training requirements.
  • Serve as advisor / contact person for HCTMT on policy revisions to ensure message is being communicated prior to roll out
  • Serve as advisor / contact person for HCTMT on processes to be rolled out to the LOB (work with Credit Solutions to identify any issues before rolling out)
  • Data requests (organize for the LOB as much as possible, serve as mediator); coordinate timely delivery
  • Lead clarifications and change requests (i.e. over hold approval s, exceptions framework questions, etc. )
  • Send reminders/reports to TLs with important messaging/reminders for the LOB with consistent messaging
  • Create content/slides for SLT reports as necessary (seg auth example )


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Military Experience
  • At least 5 years of project management experience or at least 5 years of consulting experience
  • At least 5 years of underwriting or portfolio management experience


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in preparing financial information, interpreting financial performance and assessing risk exposure.
  • Experience in underwriting and portfolio management processes and routines
  • Experience with bank regulatory matter and audit processes/requirements
