St. Mary's College of Maryland at Historic St. Mary's City is accepting resumes for a full-time temporary contingent position of Nurse Practitioner to provide health services in the Wellness Center. This is an 8–12 week temporary contingent position for the Fall 2022 semester.

St. Mary’s College Wellness Center provides holistic health, mental health, and advocacy services to students on campus. The Nurse Practitioner will provide student health care in an ambulatory setting; examine and treat common chronic and acute episodic illnesses and minor injuries; performs selected laboratory testing; offer referrals; write prescriptions (including contraception), and perform office procedures within their scope of expertise, protocols, and available equipment. 

Qualifications: Applicants for this position must hold a current license in the State of Maryland as an adult, acute care, or family practice nurse practitioner and a Master of Science in Nursing. Three years’ experience working as a nurse practitioner is required. Experience working with multicultural college-aged students is a plus.  Any combination of acceptable education and experience, which has provided the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the requirements of this position, may be considered.  Employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check and proof of COVID-19 vaccination, medical and religious exemptions will be considered.
