Duties

Serves as Director of an overall MCCS organization that is comprised of five primary component areas to include: retail, services, merchandise, food and hospitality, and fitness/recreation. The incumbent reports directly to the Executive Officer of the base. Responsible for developing MCCS business strategies, ensuring policy and procedural compliance, measuring the organization's performance and correcting failing strategies. Responsible for all aspects of fiscal activities including the development and administration of an overall operating budget. Plans, reviews, interprets and implements policies established by higher authority. Resolves financial, personnel, and operational problems that impact on the effectiveness of MCCS programs. Represents the MCCS organization to all organizations and other commands on matters concerning MCCS projects and programs. Sets priorities and establishes methods and time frames for accomplishment of MCCS projects. Lead by example with an emphasis on courtesy. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Develops and ensures implementation of an activity safety program in accordance with the Base Safety Program. Conducts safety meetings at least quarterly. Ensures safety training is provided to employees. Ensures minimal loss of duty by complying with "Return To Work" program initiatives, and following up on employee well being. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment. Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Ability to evaluate and analyze issues, problems, and operational programs
  • Ability to Communicate efficiently in writing and orally.
  • Knowledge of Budget and Accounting principals of the Federal Government.
