Duties

  • Provides management information, advice, recommendations, and assistance to the Director/Executive Deputy Director and subordinate DCMA officials on a wide variety of projects, programs, issues, and initiatives.
  • Researches policy, regulations, and procedures to determine appropriate action.
  • Analyzes information, data and assesses progress of programs, projects, and processes. Organizes, manages, and presents information to the Director/Executive Deputy Director, to include recommendations on appropriate action.
  • Initiates and conducts studies and analyses on projects, issues, and problem cases.
  • Provides direction, executive guidance, and leadership in providing effective methods to issue taskings, and resolves problems.
  • Answers questions, corrects deficiencies, evaluates support to management, and assures that the Deputy Director's objectives are met.
  • Attends meetings, briefings, and conferences, as appropriate, on matters relating to the Director/Executive Deputy Director's activities, actions, and programs.
  • Reviews and directs actions required for incoming and outgoing correspondence, actions, meetings, and briefings.
  • Provides comments and/or coordination's prior to approval by the Director/Executive Deputy Director.
  • Reviews the Director/Executive Deputy Director's daily messages and incoming actions and recommends a course of action.
  • Works with other staff in the office of the Director/Executive Deputy Director to delegate tasks and suspense requirements to the appropriate DCMA activity and follows up to ensure completion.

Qualifications

To qualify for an Executive Assistant, your resume and supporting documentation must support:

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in, or related to, this position. To qualify for the NH-03 level, specialized experience must be at the NH-02 or GS-11 grade level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector.

Creditable specialized experience includes:
  • Applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to assess the progress of programs, projects or processes.
  • Planning and conducting a variety of comprehensive studies and reports.
  • Assessing, coordinating, evaluating, and integrating the work of others into products that effectively reflect management's position on a wide variety of management and mission-related issues.


Education

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.

At that time, you may be eligible to request to continue to telework one or more days a pay period depending upon the terms of the agency's telework policy.
